A fast, lightweight and powerful real-time data and edge-based event processor.
Libre Edge provides three major functions for the platform.
You may have lines that produce the same product but have different controllers and different tag names.
Libre Edge translates the disparate tag names into the standard naming convention established by Libre Core, allowing users to access data using a common, universal structure and language.
All data that flows into Libre Core for processing and storage uses the MQTT protocol. In addition to it being an open standard, it enables the Edge to subscribe to it's configuration and stay updated if the model changes.
Tag connections are configured in Core, and passed to and updated at the Edge. Changes are managed in the Core and automatically sent to Libre Edge.
Using the same subscription process as the real-time data, Libre Edge gets rules for events that are configured in Libre Core.
Complex events for batch, downtime, order execution or any other processes are defined on the Equipment and Materials in Core, but subscribed to and processed on the edge.
